North Carolina vs Wake Forest Prediction, Game Preview, and Betting Lines
© Robert Myers-Imagn Images

North Carolina is back in the bowl mix.

There was a while when it looked dark, but the four-game losing streak ended with a blowout over Virginia, the team enjoyed the free-space game against Florida State, and now it needs just one more win to go bowling. More than that, beating Boston College is possible, and NC State is gettable, so despite all the problems a nine-win season - counting a bowl win - is on the table.

Wake Forest needs to win two of its last three to go bowling. The offense hasn’t been great, the defense is terrible, and it’ll take something special to hang around with Miami next week and beat Duke in the finale, so getting a stunner of a road win here would be huge.

North Carolina vs Wake Forest: Who Will Win?

Wake Forest will land a few big punches.

The passing game will have a little fun, and there will be a little bit coming on the ground even though it’ll average well under four yards per carry. But the North Carolina offense is playing too well.

The passing game - while not always accurate - has been relatively consistent, and the ground attack will go off. The Wake Forest run defense hasn’t been bad lately, but that’s about to end hard.

Bears receive new stadium pitch from Chicago mayor

It might be too little, too late, but the Chicago Bears received a new pitch from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson about building the new stadium project in the city. The Bears are moving full steam ahead with the site in Arlington Heights. Mayor Brandon Johnson wants the Chicago Bears in Chicago During an appearance on 670 The Score, Johnson argued that the Bears “belong” to Chicago and wants to keep them in the city for the next 100 years. “Look, the Bears belong in the city of Chicago,” Johnson said on the “Rahimi Harris Show." “And I believe that people know that. There’s a tremendous momentum. As you know, Joe Mansueto with the Fire, we’re talking about hundreds of million dollars to build a new stadium. The 1901 Project on the west side of Chicago, you’re talking about millions of dollars of investments… “We’re on a nice little hot winning streak here. So, my door’s going to remain open. And the hope is that Chicago Bears fans will rally around this moment to challenge all of us to come together to figure out a path to make sure the 100-year history doesn’t end in this moment and we can set ourselves up for the next 100 years.” Johnson points to low crime rates in Chicago Johnson touted declining crime rates as a reason for the Bears to stay in the city. “Homicides are down 32%, shooting victims are down almost 40%,” Johnson said. “We’re seeing unprecedented levels of investment. So, my door still remains open. And perhaps because I am a Cubs fan, I just remain optimistic, no matter what the circumstances are. But they really do belong in the city of Chicago.” Johnson hasn’t had conversations with the Bears in the last two weeks. For now, CEO Kevin Warren and the organization are trying to get enough government support to start building in Arlington Heights as soon as possible. If Warren doesn’t get the help he needs, the Bears could again try to angle for lakefront property in Chicago.

Kings Predicted to Acquire Suns' Emerging Star in Blockbuster Trade Involving DeMar DeRozan

The Sacramento Kings entered the NBA offseason with a key decision to make regarding the future of their franchise. While many expected the Kings to begin a rebuild this summer, they have instead elected to keep their current core together, led by Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, and chase a playoff spot next season. Sacramento has also made some notable additions to their roster this offseason as they added both Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud during the 2025 draft and they landed Dennis Schroder in free agency to fill their void at the point guard position left by them trading De’Aaron Fox last season. It has also been reported that the Kings are showing interest in Russell Westbrook and Jonathan Kuminga this summer, meaning more moves could be on the way in Sacramento. Kings predicted to land Suns' Jalen Green in blockbuster trade With this in mind, Sports Illustrated’s Jackson Caudell and Rohan Raman recently proposed a mock trade that would see the Kings send DeRozan to the Phoenix Suns for a rising star. In the trade, the Kings would send DeRozan, Malik Monk, Vit Krejci and a 2027 first-round pick to the Suns for Jalen Green and Nick Richards. Phoenix would also send Royce O’Neale to the Atlanta Hawks for two second-round picks. This would be an interesting trade for every team involved, especially the Kings as they would land a rising star in Green who they could build around for the future. Of course, moving on from DeRozan and Monk would not be too tough of a decision to make for the Kings as both players have been in trade rumors this summer, especially if they could land a young guard in Green to upgrade their backcourt. Despite this, the Suns may be unwilling to move on from Green, though that could change if he and Devin Booker do not fit well alongside each other in the backcourt next season. For Green, he would give the Kings a great young scoring guard, though his fit next to LaVine is a questionable one. While that may be the case, Green would join Keon Ellis, Devin Carter and Keegan Murray as Sacramento’s young core they could build around in the future if they decide to begin a rebuild in the coming years.

Green Bay Packers: Strong Reactions Erupt After Unofficial Depth Chart Release

The Green Bay Packers have finally updated their 2025 depth chart, and there’s a lot to unpack about it. There are unsurprising details like Jordan Love being the No. 1 quarterback and Josh Jacobs being named as the top option in the running back room. Those are simply giveaways. At the same time, there is also compelling information from the depth chart that may or may not leave fans surprised. For one, the wide receiver pecking order has exciting rookie Matthew Golden behind Jayden Reed, who is listed as a starter alongside Dontayvion Wicks. Meanwhile, the left tackle depth chart has Rasheed Walker in front of Jordan Morgan. Of course, it is worth reiterating that this is an unofficial depth chart and that there are still big possibilities of changes on it, as the 2025 NFL season nears. Fans react to Green Bay Packers’ first unofficial 2025 depth chart Rob Demovsky of ESPN also shared the depth chart, and it’s garnered quite a reaction from fans online. “Golden should be starting, wicks and Doubs are average at best,” said a fan on X. Another one said: “Forgot we signed Hardman. Have heard absolutely nothing on him this camp” From a commenter: “Bob I just woke up from a 2 month coma why is Bo Melton under the CBs” “Why tf is Golden a backup slot wr…,” a triggered social media user posted. Via a different commenter: “Jordan Morgan still can’t crack the starting lineup. Awesome waste of a first round pick ” Said another: “Why do the packers always try so hard to phase their rookies in instead of just playing them. They did the same with cooper was last year when all the fans were begging to play him. Golden better be a starter week 1”

Raiders Named Team That Might Be Willing to Pay Price for Micah Parson Trade

The Dallas Cowboys aren't eager to trade star pass rusher Micah Parsons since he recently requested one, but if he flatly refuses to play for the team ever again, there's not much they can do. If the Cowboys start to consider a trade, there will be no shortage of teams trying to get him. However, only a handful of teams could realistically trade for him and then afford to give him big money. While the Las Vegas Raiders already have Maxx Crosby on the roster and under a massive contract, they are a team that could have the means to swing a deal for Parsons. What Will Parsons Cost in a Trade? In order to convince the Cowboys to trade Parsons, it's going to take a massive offer. Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports spoke to some people around the NFL to get an idea of what the cost would be. "You’re talking about the best, most consistent defensive player in the game," an NFC personnel executive told Vacchiano. "And it’s possible he hasn’t approached his ceiling yet, especially as a pass rusher. That’s got to be worth a couple of first-round picks. "Maybe more." The executive went on to tell Vacchiano that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones could even push for three first-round picks. Should Raiders Trade for Parsons? If the Parsons does end up costing three first-round picks, then the Raiders can't realistically consider that. There are too many holes on the roster, and they may want to use one of those picks on a quarterback in the near future. That said, Vacchiano believes that the Raiders are one of the teams that could have the means to pull off a deal. "A great way to do that would be to build one of the most dominant pass rushes in the NFL, which might be what they have if they paired Parsons with Maxx Crosby," Vacchiano wrote. "Those two have more quarterback pressures than anyone else in the past four seasons. "There’s still a long way to go for a team that went 4-13 last season, and Parsons alone won’t make them a championship contender. But he’ll make their defense instantly formidable. And with about $38 million in cap space this year and more than $100 million in 2026, the Raiders can pay Parsons and still have a lot left over to add more." Parsons and Crosby would form a ferocious pass rushing duo that might be one of the best in NFL history.
