Notre Dame Ranks No. 5 In The Latest Associated Press Top 25 Rankings

Notre Dame won yet another game in dominant fashion, extending their win streak to nine games after beating Army by a 49-14 score. Notre Dame has skyrocketed up the rankings, and the Irish climbed up to No. 5 after their latest impressive victory.

This ties the highest ranking of the season for Notre Dame in this poll. The Irish climbed up to No. 5 after their season opening road win over Texas A&M. A week later the Irish fell to No. 18 after their loss to Northern Illinois. Notre Dame has been on a tear ever since, winning nine games by an average score of 43.6 to 11.0. Notre Dame has won eight of those nine games by at least 18 points, and it led for over 52 minutes of the only single digit outcome during that stretch.

Notre Dame has not trailed for a second of its last four wins and has trailed for just 27 total minutes of its current nine-game win streak.

Notre Dame has two wins over teams currently ranked in the AP Top 25. The Irish beat No. 20 Texas A&M (23-13) to start the season and Army remained in at No. 25. Irish opponents Louisville and Georgia Tech also received votes in the Top 25.
