Ohio State Commit Predicted to Flip to ACC Powerhouse

The Ohio State Buckeyes have put together an amazing 2026 recruiting class. Their 21 commitments give them a group that ranks No. 3 in the Big Ten and No. 9 in the nation, according to Rivals.

Their ability to consistently recruit at a high level is a big reason for their success. Dating back to 2020, the Buckeyes have produced seven straight top-10 classes.

However, just like every other program, Ohio State is not immune to taking losses. They've already had one decommitment in the 2026 class, coming from four-star safety Jakob Weatherspoon, who instead chose the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Ryan Day's squad may soon find itself in a similar situation, once again at the hands of an ACC team.

Ohio State Commit Corbyn Fordham Predicted to Flip

Class of 2026 tight end Corbyn Fordham originally committed to Ohio State on Nov. 28, making him one of their first additions to the cycle.

However, Steve Wiltfong, Michael Langston and Alex Gleitman, all of whom work for Rivals, have logged expert predictions for Fordham to flip to the Florida State Seminoles.

This outcome wouldn't be a huge surprise, though, as the tight end has expressed interest in the Seminoles and is even set to visit them during their upcoming matchup against the Miami Hurricanes.

“Really just excited to be back to hang out with Coach (Mike) Norvell and Coach (Chris) Thomsen and just keep building the relationship with this program because I do think they are headed in the correct direction," Fordham said in an article from Wiltfong.

Fordham, a three-star recruit and the nation's No. 34 tight end would be a big addition for Florida State. Norvell has put together a solid recruiting class in its own right, ranking No. 3 in the ACC and No. 15 in the nation with 24 commits.

A loss would certainly sting for Ohio State, as it would be losing its only tight end in the 2026 class, potentially leaving them thin at an important position.
