They may not be in the top ten in recruiting when it comes to 2026 class rankings, but the Oklahoma Sooners have been on a hot streak for the last month or so. They have landed some really good players that they know will help their program.
Sure, not all of them are five stars, heck, not all of them are four stars, either. But they are guys that, based on their rankings and what they have seen from the film and the tape, will help them become a team that competes for a National Championship, even if they are three stars based on some sites' recruiting and analysis they do.
During this hot streak, that's what they have preached to the guys they bring on visits. They are letting everyone know what they're about, and the message is becoming more and more clear. The Sooners are showing how serious they are about getting back to becoming a football program that is known for winning.

“The message from the coaches is that they are putting together a team that compete for a National Championship and they want me to be a part of that."

And, you can tell that the message is working because they just held a ton of visits this last week, and some of the players were praising how the visits went, praising how the coaching staff was, and some even committed directly after because of how good their visit was.
And, it's still early in the recruiting process for the 2026 class. There is still a ton of work to be done, with the potential for their class to only get so much better. But with that, there is also the fact that they may very well lose some of those recruits, too. Flips happen in this day and age far too often.
But, so far, they are doing everything right.
