The Oklahoma Sooners' introduction into the SEC hasn't exactly gone their way so far. The Sooners won two games in conference play last season and were rewarded with the hardest schedule in college football this season. Six of their remaining eight opponents are all ranked in the top-15, including the fourth-ranked LSU Tigers.
Many fans expected a bit of a reprieve in the near future after two years of a brutal draw. After all, schedules are supposed to be cycles, right? Well, the SEC had other plans in mind for Oklahoma. It doesn't get much easier moving forward for Oklahoma in their future in the SEC.
The Sooners get to go through the 2026 season with road trips to take on the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators , Missouri Tigers, and Mississippi State Bulldogs on top of a road trip to the Michigan Wolverines in their non-conference slate. Alongside that, the SEC announced Oklahoma's schedule from 2026 all the way to 2029.
Here is Oklahoma's conference schedule for the 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 seasons. Dates and times will obviously be announced at a later date, but it seems likely the Sooners will feature in plenty of primetime games over the years. Their three annual "rivals" for the next four seasons are the Texas Longhorns, Missouri Tigers, and Ole Miss Rebels.

The Sooners got a fortunate home slate with Ole Miss, Kentucky, South Carolina, and the Texas A&M Aggies in 2026. That sets them up with a pretty favorable schedule with the young talent projected to return for Oklahoma next season.
The 2027 season and 2028 seasons is where this one gets tricky. Home games welcoming the Alabama Crimson Tide and Tennessee Volunteers back to Norman before going on the road to Auburn and LSU is a schedule eerily similar to their 2024 slate. Having Georgia come to Norman should be a fantastic environment as well, as it will be the first time these programs have ever played in Oklahoma.
