Every hero in the Overwatch 2 roster is receiving at least one new perk in Season 18. Some have multiple changes, and some perks have been reworked. Exciting new perks to keep an eye out for are Mei’s Glacial Propulsion, Moira’s Destruction’s Divide, and Wrecking Ball’s Adaptive Barrier.

Balance Patch

As with every new season, some heroes are getting nerfs and buffs to help their power level. With all the latest perks, the buffs and nerfs are light, but Cassidy, Sojourn, and Lifeweaver are losing 25 health. The Roadhog rework, which gave him one fire mode, and Pig Pen have been reverted. He has his primary and secondary fire back, and his Take a Breather has moved to his E.

Stadium Updates

As the name of the season suggests, the Stadium Quickplay mode is released this season. Three new heroes, Winston, Pharah, and Brigitte, are coming to Stadium along with a new Payload Race game mode and Stadium Draft. There are new and reworked items for players to try out in Season 18.

Summer Games

Two New Mythics, Battle Pass and Shop Skins

Season 18 sees the addition of a new Hero Mythic skin and Hero Mythic weapon skin. Sojourn is getting the Mythic skin, titled Ultraviolet Sentinel. Damage players can continue to rejoice as Cassidy is receiving the Mythic weapon skin, titled the Blazing Sunsetter. Other heroes getting skins in the Battle Pass and Shop are Roadhog, Wuyang, Kiriko, Juno, Junker Queen, Hanzo, Pharah, and a ton more.

Hero Skill Rating, Hero Progression, and an Advanced Info Panel

In Season 18, players will be able to track ranks for individual heroes. You need to play five matches to complete your placements on those heroes. Only the three most played heroes per map will get updated. You can view your Hero SR in your career profile.

The Hero Progression System is getting updated to be more visually appealing for players, and it will feel more rewarding when you level up your hero. Players can also earn Loot Boxes as they increase their hero level.

The Advanced Info Panel will bring hero information, such as damage numbers, healing output, and more, to the hero information. You will no longer have to go to wikis to find out how much damage Tracer’s Pulse Pistols deal.
