Some viewers are no longer able to stream South Park on Paramount+.

U.S. fans are still able to watch the show, but for international fans, it's a different story.

International viewers can no longer stream the show on the network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

THR reported, through sources, that Paramount+’s "license to stream the series internationally has expired."

However, the source said the network is negotiating for a return. International fans can still watch South Park on Comedy Central, THR noted.

On July 2, the show's creators indicated in an expletive-laden post on X that there were issues behind the scenes when the premiere date was pushed back.

The Season 27 premiere was pushed back to July 23 "amid a streaming rights battle" between the show's creators and Paramount Global, which runs Comedy Central, according to THR.

“In response to the press release from Comedy Central about the change in premiere date for South Park Trey Parker & Matt Stone said — ‘This merger is a s***show and it’s f****** up South Park. We are at the studio working on new episodes and we hope the fans get to see them somehow," they wrote on X.

One Reddit user posted a message from a representative for Paramount+ customer service.

"Unfortunately, South Park has come to an end of the window in which we have the rights to carry it on Paramount+ which is why is now has to come down from the platform,” it read. Fans unloaded on the Reddit thread, with others confirming they had lost the ability to stream the show.

Westword explained that Paramount "is set to merge with Skydance, the media company run by David Ellison, son of Oracle founder Larry Ellison, the seventh-richest man in the world."

According to Westword, there "are two years remaining on South Park's deal with Paramount (which owns Comedy Central)."
