One of the biggest stars on the Penn State wrestling team has been injured.
Tyler Kasak, ranked No. 1 at 157-pound weight class, went into concussion protocol during his bout with Maryland’s Ethan Miller and had to injury default.
This unfortunately is nothing new for Kasak.
In the past nine days, Kasak has been banged up three times. Against Iowa Jan. 31, he got cut, which led to one of the most iconic images in Penn State wrestling history.

Against Michigan a week later, he went into concussion protocol again but was able to finish and win the match.
But this time, he wasn’t able to continue.
Kasak’s health will certainly be worth monitoring. When healthy, he has as good a chance as anybody of winning a national title at 157.
