As the saying goes, pictures are worth a thousand words. Or in the age on social media, thousands of likes, comments, retweets and bookmarks.

A photo of Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Jeremiah Smith had X (formerly Twitter) buzzing this week. The picture came from THE Bunch of Nut Podcast X account, which posted the photo of Smith on Tuesday afternoon.

The image showed Smith bringing in a catch near the goal line while airborne. Cornerback Jermaine Mathews Jr. was also in the photo trying to defend the pass.

But like against many college cornerbacks, Smith appeared to be securing an incredible catch in front of Mathews.

As a caption for the photo, THE Bunch of Nuts Podcast had a lot fewer than 1,000 words. But the account summarized the picture perfectly.

"How does one stop No. 4???"

Cornerbacks around the country had a difficult time answering that question during Smith's first college season. Smith posted at least 55 receiving yards in 13 of 17 games during the 2024 campaign. The Buckeyes star receiver also had 15 touchdowns.

Smith tallied only 35 yards versus the Michigan Wolverines, but he rebounded for more than 100 receiving yards in each of Ohio State's first two College Football Playoff games.

The Texas Longhorns held Smith to a season-low three yards in the College Football Semifinal. But Smith bounced back again for five catches, 88 yards and a touchdown in the National Championship.

Overall, Smith had 76 catches for 1,315 receiving yards in 2024. Even with questions behind center, Smith is expected to have an even bigger 2025 campaign.
