The Ohio State Buckeyes don't need a whole lot of help on the recruiting trail. What the program can offer to high school prospects often speaks for itself.
But of course, the Buckeyes aren't going to turn down recruiting assistance. The program is getting that this weekend from 2027 highly touted signal-caller Brady Edmunds.
"Four-star Ohio State quarterback commit Brady Edmunds out of Huntington Beach (Calif.) will remain in Columbus this weekend as a part of his five-day visit to Ohio State," On3's Mick Walker wrote. "He was one of the highest-ranked prospects at the Buckeyes first prospect camp on Thursday.
"Now he will put his recruiting hat on this weekend with a trio of top 2027 targets coming to campus."
Edmunds is one of two commitments the Buckeyes have received for the 2027 recruiting class.
The other is five-star athlete Jamier Brown. On the 247 Sports composite rankings, Brown is listed as the top receiver in the 2027 recruiting class.
He is also the No. 5 overall recruit.
2027 quarterback commit @bradyedmunds9 is all-in on #OhioState. And he’s still working like he has something to prove.

The 247 Sports composite rankings have Edmunds rated the No. 6 quarterback and 67th-ranked overall prospect in the 2027 class. The fact he committed so early should only help Ohio State on the recruiting trail, particularly among offensive prospects.
Edmunds committed to the Buckeyes in December. But he explained this weekend that he knew months prior that he wanted to play at Ohio State.
"I think it was June 10th or 11th when I got the offer, and that's probably when I knew (I wanted to be a Buckeye)," Edmunds told 247 Sports.
