Kyle Hamilton has once again made his stance in the LeBron James GOAT debate crystal clear, and this time, it came right after a playoff performance.
The Baltimore Ravens star has never shied away from backing LeBron publicly, often using him as the benchmark for greatness even outside basketball. But his latest comment struck a different tone.
It was not just praise. It was frustration. Because for Hamilton, the debate itself should not even exist anymore.
In a post shared via Kyle Hamilton’s on X handle, the Ravens safety made his feelings clear.
“It’s sad some people will leave this earth and not think LeBron is the greatest. Gotta be like living life in black and white,” Hamilton tweeted.
The comment came shortly after LeBron’s Game 1 showing against the Oklahoma City Thunder, adding context to why Hamilton chose that moment to speak out.
This is also not new territory for him. Hamilton has consistently backed LeBron in the GOAT debate, even previously stating that he considers him ahead of Michael Jordan.
At 41 years old, LeBron finished Game 1 with 27 points on 12-of-17 shooting, along with six assists and four rebounds, leading all scorers despite the Lakers’ 108-90 loss.
He set the tone early as well, scoring 12 points in the first quarter and carrying the offensive load with Luka Doncic sidelined and Austin Reaves struggling badly.
Even with that efficiency, the Lakers could not keep up with Oklahoma City’s depth, as the Thunder pulled away late in the game.
But the performance itself reinforced what Hamilton was pointing at. Very few players in NBA history have been able to produce at that level in their 40s, let alone in playoff games.
That longevity, combined with sustained production, is exactly why LeBron remains central to the GOAT debate years into his career.
For Hamilton, though, the debate seems unnecessary, and after another elite playoff showing, he made sure everyone knew where he stands.
