Rivals hosted their Five-Star Camp in Indianapolis this week, and several Notre Dame 2026 commits were in attendance. There were also some key targets for the 2027 class on site as well to show off their skills. A connection between a target and Fighting Irish commit went viral on Tuesday, and could be foreshadowing a future connection in South Bend between teammates.
Notre Dame running back commit Javian Osborne was busy dazzling media members with the explosiveness and overall athleticism that he brings to the table. In the viral video, Osborne accelerated down the field for a huge touchdown reception. The player who delivered that pass was Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb quarterback Teddy Jarrard.

Jarrard was one of the two 2027 quarterbacks that was offered by Notre Dame recently. The other was Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian star Peyton Houston, who was also in Indianapolis to compete this week. Offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and quarterback coach Gino Guidugli have been a part of an extremely thorough quarterback evaluation period, and those are the two that they have gravitated towards early on.
When the camp concluded, Jarrard was named as the MVP at quarterback over Houston and the other talented signal callers in attendance. The Georgia native has seen an impressive rise over the last several months. Other schools such as Georgia, Ohio State, and Michigan have also been in hot pursuit.

Congratulations to today’s Quarterback MVP at @RivalsCamp Five-Star, 4⭐️ Teddy Jarrard

It will be interesting to see how quickly things trend with Jarrard and the Fighting Irish. They have been recruiting him behind the scenes, but the later offer does make this a pretty unique situation. That is especially true considering over 30 programs have already offered the 6-3, 200-pound passer and have been actively pursuing him.
If he does end up with Notre Dame, this could end up being a fun moment to look back on. We may have just seen Jarrard throwing touchdowns to Osborne in the state of Indiana for the very first time. Who knows if this is just a precursor for things to come in the future.
Jarrard is currently rated as a four-star recruit on the 247Sports Compostive ranking. He currently sits as the No. 217 overall player and No. 17 quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class. That comes off of a tremendous sophomore season where Jarrard threw for 2,647 yards and 31 touchdowns through the air.
