According to reports in Portugal, Everton agreed to pay the €30m FC Porto release clause, but Francisco Conceicao turned them down because he only wants Juventus.

The attacking winger spent last season on loan in Turin and the club is eager to keep him on a permanent basis.

However, they are not prepared to pay the full €30m release clause, even though it will rise to €45m in just two days’ time.

A Bola claim that the only club that did offer to pay the total sum was Everton, but that Francisco Conceicao immediately turned down the transfer.

Conceicao holding out for Juventus

The same source also warns that Juventus will get nowhere with their low-balling of proposals worth €22m to €25m, because FC Porto are not prepared to accept one cent less than the release clause.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia insist Juventus are close to an agreement for €25m plus bonuses.

It remains to be seen if they will at least agree to covering the gap with the aid of add-ons, but they do not seem at all intrigued by the idea of lowering their asking price.

Juventus had already paid €10m for the one-season loan and were hoping to replicate that for a second season, but again Porto are not open to this idea.
