Report: Donald Trump Working On Crypto-Based Video Game

The video game is reportedly based on the very popular Monopoly Go! from Scopely. In that game, players go around the iconic board and earn money to construct their virtual city. It isn’t a surprise that Donald Trump wants to base it on the game of Monopoly. He has made it clear in the past that he loves the classic board game. “I’ve always thought Monopoly was an amazing game,” Trump told the New York Post.

Sources indicate longtime Donald Trump ally Bill Zanker is the one heading up the project while the president continues his second term in office. Last year, he apparently reached out to Hasbro to acquire some rights to the Monopoly. The source says the game will be a real estate development game, harkening back to the roots of Trump’s fortune. Very little is known about the project as Trump and Zanker have declined to comment.

There’s a lot to unpack here. Critics will again scream about the ethics of using the public office to profit. However, this is something many politicians have done since the dawn of government.
