Inter Milan kick off their Serie A season with a match again st Torino in just a couple days’ time.
And Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu will have to do without midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
The Turkish international is serving a one-match suspension due to accumulation of yellow cards carrying over from last season.
Therefore, Chivu will have to find an alternate solution at the base of midfield.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Chivu has decided that Nicolo Barella will start at the base of Inter’s midfield.
That will mean that summer signing Petar Sucic will play as a box-to-box midfielder rather than a holding role in his first ever Serie A start for the Nerazzurri.
