Reports: New PSU OC Andy Kotelnicki’s Contract is 4 Years

The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman was first on the report late Thursday afternoon, and multiple other outlets since confirmed it.

Friday afternoon, Penn State made it official.

He’ll be coming to Happy Valley after three seasons at Kansas, where he helped transform KU from one of the country’s worst offense to one of the best. In 2020, the year before Kotelnicki got there, only Old Dominion, UConn and UMass were worse offensively according to Pro Football Focus. In Kotelnicki’s last two seasons at Kansas, the team was No. 6 and No. 8 in the country in total offense, respectively.

The Athletic’s Audrey Snyder and Jon Sauber of the Centre Daily Times reported that, per sources,  the contract Kotelnicki’s agreed to is four years long with total compensation starting as $1.6 million. That will bump up to $1.7 in Year 2, $1.8 in year three and $2 million in year four.
