Since Rohit Sharma was removed as captain by Mumbai Indians to give Hardik Pandya the role, many people have been invested in the entire saga. With reports of the IPL trading window reopening soon, fans believe the Indian captain will soon move to another IPL franchise.

Prassana Agoram, a performance analyst who has worked with Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and South Africa, claimed a veteran from a team wearing blue will shift to a team wearing yellow. While he did not mention any player, many fans immediately thought of the Indian captain.

This rumor was fueled more when Ritika Sajdeh, Sharma’s wife, dropped a yellow heart emoji on a post by Chennai Super Kings. In the post, the team congratulated Sharma for a successful run as the MI captain. The trade window is reported to open on 20th December, and only time will tell if the Indian captain would leave MI.

AB de Villiers believes fans took Hardik Pandya’s appointment too seriously

AB de Villiers reacted to MI’s shocking decision to make Hardik Pandya the new captain. He said it wasn’t a bad move and Rohit should just enjoy the pressure off his shoulders. He added that the MI team needed something new, but believed the reaction of Rohit’s removal was extreme.

I think there are a lot of people happy about it, a lot of people upset about it. I read a post that said Mumbai Indians' social platform lost like 1 million followers. I am not sure how accurate that is but obviously some people took it a bit personally with Rohit having to move on and make place for Hardik AB de Villiers on his YouTube channel

At the end de Villiers said he thought Sharma made the decision to take the backseat and just enjoy his batting. He also added that despite many reports saying so, he thinks Pandya didn’t ask for the MI captaincy
