RWE Sweeps, Cold Hearts & Reapers Going 3

Semi-Finals - Game 2 Results:

RWE completed their upset bid with a massive win over the YNG Dreamerz on Saturday night with another surge in the second half that gave them a 85-77 win and a trip to the OTE Finals. RWE finished off their sweep of the Dreamerz thanks to the efforts of Karter Knox who had his sixth 30 ball of the season, which included an explosive run late in the second half that put the game officially out of reach. The fourth seeded RWE makes the trip to the finals in their inaugural year as members of OTE and they await the winner of Game 3 of the semi-final between the City Reapers and Cold Hearts

All-OTE Second Team member Daquan Davis struck all the right notes throughout the evening, registering 24 points and 11 assists, just the second time he has reached a double-digit assist total this season. Freshman Lincoln Cosby had some big moments tonight, logging 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the field including two huge lead-building triples

The Dreamerz season came to a close, but not before OTE MVP Eli Ellis put his name in the history books one more time. Finishing the night with 22 points, Ellis is now the all-time leading scorer in OTE history with 805 points all-time, breaking the previous record of 804 points set by Ausar Thompson. Abu Yarmah was cooking all evening long, registering 18 points on five made threes while also pulling down 11 boards for his fourth double-double of the year

Taking advantage of a Cold Hearts squad down Kanon Catchings and John Bol, the City Reapers forced a Game 3 with a dominant 85-74 victory over the Cold Hearts. Parker Robinson was the X-factor for the Reapers, diversifying his game more than we’ve seen all season, with 19 points on a good blend of shots at the rim and his usual dose of threes. The Reapers and Cold Hearts will face off in a decisive third game to determine which of these rivals will take the final spot in the OTE Finals

Bryson Tiller was a big presence down low that the Cold Hearts had no answers for, finishing his night with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Jaeden Mustaf didn’t have his largest scoring night, finishing with a respectable 11 points, but he made his presence felt everywhere else, notching a game-high eight assists and playing some lockdown defense on the Cold Hearts scoring guards

For the Cold Hearts, Trey Parker played with his usual intensity and flair, leading to a night with 19 points and even more impressively two steals and two blocks. Down two key bigs, Samis Calderon stepped up in this contest, battling hard every possession, resulting in 12 points and 11 rebounds
