Saban says revenge should be driving factor for Alabama vs. Vanderbilt

Nick Saban believes revenge is what should be on the minds of Alabama football today when it takes the field against Vanderbilt inside of Bryant-Denny Stadium.

This mindset stems from the embarrassment the Crimson Tide fell victim to at the hands of an unranked Vanderbilt team a season ago, being upset in Nashville 40-35. That moment resulted in Alabama’s first loss of the season, and it foreshadowed what was to come for the Tide.

Saban ensured Alabama fans in attendance for ESPN College Gameday revenge will indeed be a factor today.

“Revenge is not supposed to be a factor, but it is a factor today,” Saban said on national television while on the set of College Football GameDay.

Alabama football will have its chance to avenge itself on its home turf against Vanderbilt Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CST on ABC.
