Shedeur Sanders has made it official with the Cleveland Browns.
The former Colorado quarterback signed his four-year deal worth $4.6 million, which includes a $447k signing bonus, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The figure is drastically different from where Sanders was projected to go in the 2025 NFL Draft. He ended up sliding to the fifth round (No. 144 overall), losing nearly $40 million after not going as a top ten pick.
The Browns are reportedly planning an open competition for the starting QB job. Sanders will be up against third-round pick Dillon Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco before the start of the season.
With Sanders now signed, the Browns only have three rookies who've yet to sign with the team. They'll look to have everyone under contract before the start of camp.
Sanders appeared in 50 career games between Colorado and Jackson State. He finished his collegiate career completing 1,267 of 1,808 passes (70.1%) for 14,353 yards and 134 touchdowns.
In 2024, Sanders was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year after throwing for 4,134 yards with 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, while adding four rushing touchdowns.
