Sir David Beckham has officially joined Fortnite, with the Manchester United legend becoming the latest high-profile name to take on another role away from football.
Throughout his United career, he won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the 1999 Champions League across 394 appearances under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The former England captain has enjoyed another memorable year off the pitch.
Earlier this year, Beckham became the first British sportsman to reach billionaire status in the 2026 Sunday Times Rich List.
He also remains heavily involved in football as co-owner of Inter Miami and Salford City.
Earlier this week, Beckham defended wife Victoria Beckham on social media after England’s World Cup quarter-final win over Norway. Now, the United icon has accepted a very different challenge.
beckham will officially arrive in Fortnite on Friday, 17 July, as part of the game’s Icon Series.
The popular game regularly partners with famous athletes, musicians and entertainers. Players can purchase these personalities as playable in-game characters.
Beckham will receive two separate outfits.
The standard David Beckham skin allows players to switch between shirted and shirtless styles.
His tattoos glow gold after every elimination. The bundle also includes a “Beckham’s Number” back bling and a LEGO variant.
The second version is called Club Owner David Beckham.
It shows the former United midfielder wearing a suit and includes a reactive Club Crest back bling, plus its own LEGO variant.
Beckham joins an impressive list of footballers already featured in Fortnite.
Neymar, Harry Kane, Marco Reus, Lionel Messi, Son Heung-min and Vinicius Junior have all previously been added to the game.
The collaboration is another major commercial milestone for Beckham. More than a decade after retiring, he remains one of the most recognisable sporting figures in the world.
