Slow Horses season 4 is officially certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. That means, in other words, it’s managed to achieve a perfect 100% rating.
Apple TV+s critically acclaimed drama series has never dipped below 98%, making it the streamer’s highest rated show of all time. The first and third seasons both sit at 98%, with the second season achieving 100%.
Slow Horses follows a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents led by obnoxious former spy Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman). Each season sees them in over their heads as they deal with a plot that could destabilize the UK.
The 25 professional reviews posted so far have been breathlessly positive, but there’s no audience score yet. That’s because the show has only just aired. It premiered on Apple TV+ October 4, 2024, with each episode dropping weekly every Wednesday until 9th October 2024.
If the audience score is anything like the last three seasons, though, expect the same high reception. It ranges from 92% (Slow Horses season 1) to 95% (Slow Horses season 3).
Slow Horses season 4 introduces a host of new characters, including Hugo Weaving’s villain Frank Harkness. There’s also Joanna Scanlan's Moira, Ruth Bradley's Emma, Tom Brooke's JK, and James Callis's Claude.
So confident is Apple in the show, a fifth season has already been announced, with Slow Horses season 5 confirmed.
