College football bowl season often delivers some exciting snow-game environments, and this year is no different.
Next Saturday, the North Carolina Tar Heels will face off against the UConn Huskies in Wasabi Fenway Bowl. This postseason contest will be played in the iconic home of the MLB's Boston Red Sox: Fenway Park.
On Friday, the Wasabi Fenway Bowl posted photos of the historic venue blanketed in snow. Snowfall in the Boston area is forecast to continue throughout the day and into the night.
The initial forecast for next Saturday's game projects temperatures in the high 30s with no precipitation.

North Carolina, which hired legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick as its new program leader earlier this month, will be led by interim head coach Freddie Kitchens in this bowl-game matchup against UConn.
"Any time you have a new beginning, there will be excitement," Kitchens said in a press conference on Thursday. "Eventually, the excitement ends and it becomes about the work the person is putting in each day. The excitement turning into an opportunity to play is up to the individual player. It all goes back to being where your feet are each day in whatever you're doing. It comes down to who they want to become as a player and as a team."
The Tar Heels finished their 2024 regular season with a 6-6 record, barley earning bowl eligibility. UConn finished its 2024 season with an 8-4 record, improving on the program's disappointing 3-9 record in 2023.
North Carolina is favored by 2.5 points over UConn. The Wasabi Fenway Bowl will kickoff at 11 a.m. EST on Saturday, Dec. 28.
