Spain and Iraq face each other at the Estadio Municipal de Riazor on Thursday, June 4, as both teams continue their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Spain arrive as the reigning European champions after lifting the UEFA Euro 2024 title.
La Roja have been one of the most consistent national teams in international football, losing just one of their last 28 matches across all competitions over the past 27 months, recording 22 wins and five draws during that period.
Luis de la Fuente's side will use this friendly as another opportunity to build momentum ahead of the World Cup, with a final warm-up match against Peru scheduled for next Tuesday.
Spain were held to a goalless draw by Egypt in their most recent home fixture in March, but they remain among the favourites heading into the tournament.
At the World Cup, Spain have been drawn in Group H alongside Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
Iraq, meanwhile, are preparing for only their second appearance at the FIFA World Cup and their first since 1986. The Lions of Mesopotamia have shown marked progress under Australian coach Graham Arnold.
Since Arnold's appointment, Iraq have won nine of their last 14 international matches, while drawing two and losing three. Their place at the World Cup was secured after a dramatic intercontinental playoff victory over Bolivia in April.
Iraq will compete in Group I, where they are set to face Norway, France and Senegal.
