Surprising WWE Update on Absent 'Monday Night Raw' Star

There has been a notable absence on the "WWE Raw" brand.

WWE has been loading up "WrestleMania 41" weekend with a slew of significant names. The company will be putting together the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on "Friday Night SmackDown" to get as much talent involved for the big weekend in Las Vegas.

Many fans are wondering if a particular member of the "Monday Night Raw" roster will be involved in the match. The absent talent in question is Omos, who hasn't appeared on WWE TV since the April 5, 2024 episode of "WWE SmackDown." Omos competed in the battle royal.

Fightful reports that Omos still remains out of creative discussions as far as a full-time return to WWE TV is concerned. This is a surprising update for fans, given that Omos was recently pulled from a successful tour in Japan under the Pro Wrestling NOAH banner. The assumption was that Omos was removed from the tour because WWE had plans for "The Nigerian Giant."

Omos reportedly impressed NOAH officials, and the company would welcome him back if given the opportunity. Omos had a brief reign as one half of the GHC Tag Team Champions. He teamed with Jack Morris to capture the gold from Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura.

When WWE decided to pull Omos from Japan, NOAH was forced to vacate the tag team gold. Omos was never beaten in the seven matches he worked for NOAH. It's also been reported that WWE officials were impressed by Omos' run in Japan, which has led to even more questions about the company's decision to take him off the tour if he wasn't going to be used in the United States.
