Three Premier League clubs are interested in signing Raheem Sterling, but no official offers have come in yet according to reports.
The clock is ticking down on the transfer window, and the Blues still have a lot of work to do in regards to outgoings.
Sterling is one player they will desperately be hoping to sell permanently, and the 30-year-old was offered to Napoli earlier this summer.
Sterling’s career has been on somewhat of a steady decli ne since joining Chelsea from Manchester City for £50m back in 2022.
He was booed at times by the Chelsea fans during Mauricio Pochettino’s time in charge, and it was made clear by Enzo Maresca he wasn’t going to be part of his plans.
Sterling secured a deadline day loan move to Arsenal last summer, but his time in north London wasn’t one to remember, and he scored once in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea are reportedly hoping to get as much as £20m for Sterling, and talkSPORT have reported Fulham, Crystal Palace and West Ham are three possibilities for the winger, with Fulham making an enquiry last month.
The report adds Sterling’s preference would be to remain in London, with the 3 0-year-old waiting for Chelsea to present him with some options.
Sterling has scored 19 goals for the Blues in 81 appearances, but he’s certainly played his final game for the club, and Chelsea will be hoping they can get his reported wages of in excess of £300,000 per week off the books.
Sterling isn’t the only high earner Chelsea are looking to move on, with Ben Chilwell also falling into that category.
Chelsea are struggling to attract any suitors for Chilwell, who spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, where he was part of the squad which won the FA Cup.
Perhaps something will materialise in the final days of the window, but even for a club as good as selling players as Chelsea are, they could find their work cut out in regards to Chilwell.
