Blake Jenkins immediately put the Alabama Crimson Tide in his final six schools after earning an offer from the Tide on Friday.
Jenkins attends Tompkins High School in Texas, and he is a 2027 four-star defensive back prospect. He now has Alabama, Houston, Michigan, SMU, Texas and Vanderbilt in his top six. He plans to officially visit each program.
The Texas product told Touchdown Alabama he will officially visit the Tide in June.
At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Jenkins reports the ability to run a 4.48 40-yard dash. This speed translates over to the football field, and it aids him as a shutdown cornerback. He can turn and run and go stride for stride with wide receivers in coverage with his speed. He also tends to make a play on the football when it comes his way. Jenkins is also a willing tackler.
Alabama currently does not hold a commitment from a 2027 defensive back, but this is expected to change in the future with several top defensive back prospects officially visiting the Tide this summer.
