The Texas Longhorns will patiently wait for class of 2027 tight end Brock Williams to announce his commitment decision on May 15. Out of Libertyville, Illinois, the pass catcher has generated a lot of interest.

His three finalists are the Texas Longhorns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Georgia Bulldogs. He's a highly valued target, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 210 pounds. Rivals Industry Rankings list Williams as a four-star recruit, the No. 4 tight end and the No. 77 player in the nation.

Last season for Libertyville High School, he hauled in 44 receptions for 596 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games. The Longhorns have worked hard to be at the center of his recruitment.

Williams has made his way to Austin for two unofficial visits. Texas has made a strong impression, with Rivals' Greg Biggins naming them the leader with a commitment decision less than two weeks away.

"Georgia was in the driver’s seat early in the recruitment and coming into this season," Biggins wrote. "Ohio State made a move with the pair of visits he took to Columbus during the season. Texas has always been a dark horse but closed the gap quickly. At this point, Texas is in the driver’s seat of the recruitment."

He would be a major addition for Sarkisian and his staff. So far, the Longhorns have landed 10 commitments in the 2027 recruiting class, ranking sixth in the SEC and 13th in the nation. Williams could be the second tight end, alongside three-star JT Geraci.

While the Rivals recruiting prediction machine gives Texas a 93.7% chance to land Williams, it's not a done deal. Georgia and Ohio State, who are just as interested in landing the tight end, are still serious threats.
