The Texas Longhorns have an iconic brand. The program has experienced great success over the years, across a wide variety of different sports.

Just as impressive as the athletics themselves though is the mystique that comes with getting to wear those classic burnt orange and white uniforms. It feels like the University of Texas -- no matter what happens on the field or the court -- remains one of the most established brands in all of America.

Adding to the allure of the program is the fact that the University of Texas Longhorns are set to leave the BIG 12 Conference to join the historic Southeastern Conference (SEC) in 2024.

So how is Texas preparing for the transition? By spending a boatload of money to upgrade their athletic facilities, apparently.

The upgrades are designed to drastically improve the Texas athlete and fan experience. This includes a $70M state-of-the-art football training facility that is expected to be completed at some point in 2025. A new locker room for the beach volleyball teams. New seating areas for the baseball stadium. As well as upgraded concession options in the football stadium, which are expected to resemble that of a professional sports experience.

Even for a powerhouse program like Texas, these types of investments can go a long way toward drawing interest from recruits and fans alike. And for an iconic brand like the Texas Longhorns, it only adds to the appeal of the program as a whole.
