As the 2026 college football recruiting battles start to ramp up, so do final decisions being made for top recruits on where they want to spend the beginning of their collegiate careers.

Such is the case for four-star safety Chace Calicut, a top-10 safety from Houston, Texas.

Being recruited by almost every powerhouse school in the nation, Calicut has narrowed his list down to three, and has visits scheduled for all three prior to his commitment.

He will be visiting the Georgia Bulldogs from June 6-8, Michigan Wolverines June 13-15, and lastly the Texas Longhorns on June 20-22. He has yet to announce his commitment decision date.

Texas certainly has the geographical advantage over Georgia and Michigan, as he would have the ability to stay in-state and continue his collegiate career with Steve Sarkisian's Longhorns.

On3 Sports' Steve Wiltfong logged an expert prediction for Calicut to remain in-state and commit to Texas for the 2026 season.

The next month will be huge for these three powerhouse college football programs, as they look to bring in their next wave of elite talent for the 2026 season.

Looking into the immediate future for 2025, these three teams have built incredible recruiting classes, as they all look built to go into the season with high expectation.

Texas and Georgia rank 1 and 2 respectively, while Michigan rounds them off as the No. 6 recruiting class in the country for the 2025 season. Even with incredible classes this year, each would be eager to add Calicut to their 2026 campaigns.
