Neyland Stadium, the home of the Tennessee Vols, is one of the biggest football stadiums in the country.
With a seating capacity of 101,915 (the new capacity as of 2022), Neyland Stadium is the sixth largest football stadium in America (per wikipedia), behind Michigan Stadium (Michigan), Beaver Stadium (Penn State), Ohio Stadium (Ohio State), Kyle Field (Texas A&M), and Tiger Stadium (LSU).
When you step onto the field at Neyland Stadium and look up, you get the full feeling of just how massive the stadium is.
But imagine if Neyland seated a million people. Obviously that's never going to happen (I'm not sure you'd even be able to make out the action on the field if you were in the nose bleed section, which would probably mean you'd have to dodge passing airplanes). But an AI generated image of Neyland Stadium with one million seats is making the rounds on social media (via CFBKings/Instagram) and it's absolutely wild.
I can't even wrap my mind around how big that stadium would look in person.
Also, it's pretty hideous to look at. Thank goodness that's not how we watch live sports. Neyland is the perfect size as is. Hopefully Tennessee athletic director Danny White doesn't see this photo and get any crazy ideas...
