Donovan McNabb enjoyed a storied career in college and then the NFL, which included a trip to the Super Bowl. Now his son, Donovan McNabb Jr., is quickly making a name for himself as a 2027 recruit who has begun to accumulate offers.
McNabb Jr., a wide receiver who plays his high school football at Brophy Prep in Phoenix, has already had a very successful 2025. After receiving offers from Temple and Northern Arizona in 2024, he has added Arizona, Iowa State, Minnesota Southern Miss and Sacramento State since mid-January. Then in recent days Florida Atlantic joined the chase, as well as Syracuse and Norfolk State.
Syracuse is a big offer for the McNabb family. Donovan McNabb is a legend in update New York after passing for 8,389 yards and 77 touchdowns from 1995 to 1998 with the Orange, which will make them a player for McNabb Jr. until the end. Norfolk State may be an FCS offer, but it is suddenly polarizing after Michael Vick recently became the head coach. On top of this, McNabb and Vick are longtime friends.

McNabb Jr., 6-foot-0 and 170-pounds, finished his sophomore season with nine receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown. While these statistics aren’t eye-popping, it is his potential that has suddenly produced the recent offers. And with a successful off-season at camps and 7-on-7's, it will likely be an even busier summer for the McNabb family.
