Louisiana-Monroe head football coach Bryant Vincent believes his Warhawks football team has something to prove when they square off against Alabama football in Saban-Field at Bryant Denny Stadium this Saturday.

Vincent and ULM will come into Tuscaloosa flying high after starting their 2025 season off with a 29-0 shut-out victory over Saint Francis University at home. For the Crimson Tide, it’s the complete opposite. Alabama is looking to avenge its week one disaster in Tallahassee against Florida State by finding success in the comforts of their own stadium .”

“We’ve got an upset, is a nice way to say it, football team that’s gonna come out with something to prove, and we get it, Vincent said Thursday on the Mac and Cube podcast. “And that’s fine, but we’ve got something to prove too. We’ve gotta go play our best.”

Vincent went on to complement the Alabama defense while still displaying his belief in the Warhawks’ offensive game plan.

“This is a good defense, and we know they’re gonna be ready to go but we’re gonna do what we do,” Vincent said. “We believe in what we do, we believe in running outside zone. We believe in play-action and we’re gonna do what we do. And at the end of the day, I think outside zone, if you can get it going, there’s something about it where you’ll have opportunities to have positive plays and to move the sticks, and the opportunity to find a rhythm. We’ve just gotta prepare for the speed and power that we just haven’t seen, that you can’t emulate in practice. Those first five to seven minutes.”

Alabama football will look to redeem itself by playing up to its standard in all three phases of the game on Saturday.
