The transfer portal floodgates are beginning to open.
Several very high-profile quarterbacks have already entered their names into the portal.
Auburn is looking to add a QB to the roster this off-season.
Here is an updated list of the top five signal-callers in the transfer portal.
After transferring from Incarnate Word to WSU, Ward completed 65% of his passes for 6,968 yards and 48 touchdowns against 16 interceptions. He has over 13,000 career passing yards between his two previous schools.
The Chanticleers QB has set records over his four years at the helm of the Coastal Carolina offense, throwing for over 10,000 yards with 88 touchdown passes to only eight interceptions, winning the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year award three straight seasons (2020-2022). He added 1,113 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.
Auburn was interested in McCall last season and should take a very hard look at him again.
Rogers is the most accomplished quarterback on this list, having thrown for over twelve-thousand yards along with 94 touchdowns.
How Rogers is evaluated in the portal will be interesting. His amazing stats in the Air Raid tanked in Kevin Barbay's more traditional offense (to be fair, Rogers was injured for a portion of the season).
The SEC is watching a trio of solid signal-callers exit the conference, including Jefferson - who completed 65% of his passes for 7,911 yards and 67 touchdowns. He added 1,876 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground.
He's a physical, bruising QB who will bring great value to whichever team he lands with.
A stellar sophomore campaign from Leonard was followed up with a disappointing 2023 season caused by injury. The six-foot-four, 210-pound signal-caller has thrown for 4,450 yards, 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 27 career games with the Blue Devils. Leonard also racked up 1,224 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns.
He spent half of the 2023 season out with an injury after a his sophomore year (2,967 passing yards, 699 rushing yards, 33 total touchdowns).
