This could’ve, should’ve, and would’ve been a whole lot bigger, but Memphis inexplicably dropped the date against UAB last week to leave zero margin for error the rest of the way.
In a way, though, that didn’t matter. To get into the CFP, the American Conference champion has to be 12-1, and the Tigers would’ve probably have needed to win this anyway. They still get Tulane and Navy on the slate, but those are home games, and this is the big one.
USF keeps ripping through everyone. After the loss to Miami, and outside of the close win over Florida, no one else has been about to touch this bunch, including a North Texas team that appears destined to now go 11-1.
This is it. The Bulls will be favored by double-digits against everyone else the rest of the way.

No one's slowing down the USF attack.
It goes super-fast, puts defenses on their heels, and makes everyone try to keep up the impossible pace.
The ground attack is ripping through everyone, coming up with over 1,200 yards and 13 touchdowns over the last four games.
Statistically, the Memphis defense has been great against the run, but UAB was able to crank out over 200 yards last week, and Arkansas ran just fine, but it quit handing the ball off.
The Tiger defense can get behind the line, but there isn't much of a pass rush, and that won't work against this attack when it's humming. But ...
Memphis appeared to be looking past UAB to this.
The Blazers came out fired up, and the Tigers were caught flat-footed - at least, that's how they looked compared to how they played the first six games of the season.
The speed and execution are there to keep up the pace no matter who's at quarterback. Starter Brendon Lewis got banged up against UAB and is questionable, but it's the line and running game that need to hammer away on the Bull defensive front.
Teams stop running on USF because the pace gets out of control. Try to control the clock even a little bit, throw off the rhythm, and ...
The USF offense should be in high gear.
No, it hasn't dealt with a defense like what Memphis brings since losing to Miami over a month ago, and it'll come down to takeaways.
The Tigers are great at forcing mistakes, and USF has been a little too loose with the ball over the last several games. But in this, the Bulls will take what Arkansas started to do, but couldn't finish.
They'll be consistent, and they'll keep running the ball with at least 40 attempts. In a back-and-forth fight, the dam will start to break early in the fourth quarter.
