On the road in Palo Alto, the #15 Tar Heels got a tough, hard-fought win over the Cardinal, 69-57. Stanford was trailing by as many as 15 in the second half and was able to rally back and tie the game at 62 with 3:52 left in the fourth quarter, but North Carolina responded immediately with a 7-0 run. North Carolina made nine three-pointers and shot 52.9% from beyond the three-point arc. Alyssa Ustby hit four three-pointers on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Maria Gakdeng had 12 points and seven rebounds. Stanford's Nunu Agara had a monster game with 22 points and 14 rebounds.
