The #19 Orange moved into sole possession of second place in the ACC standings with an 85-79 road win over the Cavaliers. Virginia trailed Syracuse by as many as 18 in the third quarter but was able to cut the lead down to four with 1:32 left in the game. Once again, Dyashia Fair came up clutch late, scoring 11 of Syracuse's final 15 points. Fair finished the game with 33 points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals. Georgia Woolley also had a monster game with 26 points, five assists, and three rebounds. Camryn Taylor led Virginia with 20 points and eight rebounds. Kymora Johnson had a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists.
