We Now Know When Pittman-Petrino Era Officially Begins
(Brett Rojo / USA TODAY Sports)

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – It seems football is closer than most Razorback fans think. Slightly over two weeks.

A release from the Arkansas sports information department says Sam Pittman's football team will begin spring practices on Thursday, March 7. In total, the Hogs will spread 14 practices across five weeks, culminating in the spring game, Saturday, April 13 at Razorback Stadium.

There was also an announcement of an event to honor former Arkansas trainer Dean Weber.

The spring game weekend will also feature the A Club Spring Reunion and a celebration of life for legendary Arkansas Athletics employee Dean Weber, who passed away last week. Weber’s celebration of life will be held inside Bud Walton Arena at 4 p.m. following the spring game. The A Club reunion is for all former Arkansas student-athletes, for more information contact the Razorback Foundation.

Homecoming will take place Oct. 19 when Arkansas hosts LSU. This is reportedly the earliest the two schools have ever met inside the state of Arkansas. Homecoming event details will eventually be posted at homecoming.uark.edu.

Arkansas will honor the military in the final home game of the season against Louisiana Tech on Nov. 23. That game will also double as Senior Day.
