West Virginia Selected Sixth in 2024 Preseason Big 12 Baseball Standings

On Thursday, the West Virginia University baseball program was picked to finish sixth in the Big 12 Conference as voted by the league's head coaches. 

West Virginia is coming off its first league title since joining the Big 12 and returns the reigning Big 12 Conference Player of the Year in JJ Wetherholt and he was voted the 2024 Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year on Wednesday. The Mountaineers shared the regular season title with Texas and Oklahoma.

TCU was selected first following a College World Series appearance last year with 11 first place votes, while Texas was placed second with two first place votes and Oklahoma State is slated third.
