What's not to like about the Lakers?

Welcome back to a fresh week here at Bark Bets! We hope you're ready for more postseason action, we're certainly not slowing down.

We continue liking the Lakers

We haven't been shy in riding the Lakers bandwagon this postseason, and everything we've been seeing is confirming our love for Los Angeles. After trailing after one, the Lakers dominated from then on out on Saturday night, winning by 30 at home.

Los Angeles remains at home for Game 4 with a chance to go up 3-1, and we are here for it. The Warriors started to put some of their road woes to rest, winning two straight in Sacramento to help them advance last round. But if you look at their season on the whole, it remains a liability.

The Warriors have gone just 12-33 away from home this season, covering the spread in a league-worst 28.9% of their games. Based on how the Lakers looked in Game 3, led by Anthony Davis' 25 points and 13 boards, we prefer backing them to keep it rolling tonight in the NBA.

Betting: Los Angeles Lakers -3 (-110 DK)

Going for goals in Vegas-Edmonton

There's plenty to like about a high-scoring game tonight on the ice, and we're certainly not deterred by Saturday's matchup finishing with "just" six goals.

Game 2 was the sixth meeting between these two this season and the first time that fewer than seven goals were scored. We're more than willing to trust that we'll return to what we've seen so often this season, and with the location swapping to Edmonton, we like it even more.

Two of three home games for the Oilers this postseason have reached seven goals, with Edmonton scoring 3+ goals in each game. Vegas has suited up just twice on the road thus far, but they've scored nine goals in those two games, which averaged 7.5 total goals per game.

Shots on goal should continue to flow on both ends, and the goals are going to follow. Trust the numbers, sit back, and enjoy the show.

Betting: Vegas-Edmonton over 6.5 goals (-144 FD)

In the news ...

Sixers even series with Celtics with OT win — Despite a furious comeback by Boston, Philadelphia survived and advanced with a huge Game 4 win at home. With attention to Joel Embiid driving with just 20 seconds left, James Harden was left open, draining the go-ahead three and lifting the Sixers to the 116-115 win. The series returns to Boston on Tuesday, with the Celtics currently seven-point favorites.

Florida Panthers on the cusp of the Eastern Conference Finals — Just like that, the Florida Panthers, the last wild card team in the East, are one game away from sweeping the Toronto Maple Leafs and advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Panthers took Game 3 at home thanks to a Sam Reinhart game-winning overtime goal. Perhaps we should have taken Florida more seriously after taking down the Bruins in Round 1. Florida now owns the second-best odds to win the Stanley Cup at +380.

Reports suggest Indianapolis expects Anthony Richardson to start from Day One — Many expected QB Anthony Richardson to need a year to sit before taking up the rigors of a starting NFL quarterback, but reports have emerged that the Colts are planning as if Richardson will start Week 1. If that's the case, one has to consider his Rookie of the Year odds, especially considering that his running ability will surely make him a dynamic playmaker at a minimum in his first year. Richardson's Offensive Rookie of the Year odds currently sit at +650.
