This is a list of the coolest uniforms in college football, not the best uniforms. It does not include Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Alabama, and the other “classic” uniforms. This list also includes only the Power 4 conference teams, otherwise, it might have included Boise State, Tulane, and others. It is understood that many schools have had several logos and uniform combinations in the past and continue to do so. Let’s get started….
10. Arizona Wildcats
Colors: Cardinal and Navy
Arizona Wildcats traditionally wear white helmets with a cardinal and navy “A”, blue jerseys with white lettering, and white pants with cardinal and navy stripes for home games. The road jerseys are white with navy lettering and cardinal and navy stripes. They will often wear navy pants. Because of the desert heat, the Wildcats will wear road whites for many early home games.
9. North Carolina State Wolfpack
Colors: Red and White
The NC State Wolfpack has three combinations that they use during the season. Their helmets, jerseys, and pants can all be either red, white, or black. The helmets typically have the “wolf” logo or “S” logo. The jerseys will have “NC State” or “State” on the front and the pants have “NC State” down one leg. They are known to wear any combination of the colors for a game.
8. Miami Hurricanes
Colors: Orange, Green, and White
Miami Hurricanes helmets are white with a green and orange “U” logo. The jerseys can be either green, orange, or white with white lettering (green lettering on the white jerseys). The pants can be either green, orange, or white. They use all combinations of jerseys and pants. They also have black helmets, jerseys, and plant as an alternate uniform.
7. USC Trojans
Colors: Cardinal and Gold
The USC Trojans' helmets are cardinal with a gold “Trojan” logo. For home games, the Trojans wear cardinal jerseys with gold lettering and gold shoulder stripes. They wear gold pants with a cardinal stripe down each leg. For road games, USC wears white jerseys with cardinal lettering and cardinal shoulder stripes.
6. Ole Miss Rebels
Colors: Cardinal and Navy
Ole Miss uses several different uniform combinations. They have white, navy, and baby blue helmets with the “Ole Miss” logo. Their home jerseys are either red, navy, or baby blue with white lettering and white shoulder stripes. Their road jerseys are white with either red, navy, or baby blue lettering and stripes. They wear either white or grey pants at home and on the road.
5. Georgia Bulldogs
Colors: Red and Black
The Bulldogs' home uniforms consist of a red helmet with a white stripe and the trademarked oval G, red jerseys with white lettering, and famous silver britches with a black stripe down each leg. The road white jerseys are almost cooler with black and red lettering. Dawgs receive bone stickers for making plays. They do occasionally have a “Blackout” and wear black jerseys for some home games.
4. Ohio State Buckeyes
Colors: Scarlet and Gray
The Buckeyes have gray helmets with red, white, and back stripes and Buckeye stickers for quality play. They wear gray pants with red, white, and back stripes. For home games, they have red jerseys with white lettering and stripes. When on the road, they wear white jerseys with red lettering and stripes. They also have alternate all black uniforms and white or red pants.
3. LSU Tigers
Colors: Purple and Gold
LSU has either gold or white helmets with their “LSU” logo with a tiger and purple facemasks. They also have a “Tiger head” logo. Their pants are either gold or white with stripes down the sides. For the Tiger home games, they wear purple jerseys with white lettering and gold and whit shoulder stripes. For road games, it's white jerseys with purple lettering and gold and purple stripes.
2. Oregon Ducks
Colors: Green and Yellow
Thanks to Oregon’s relationship with Nike and Phil Knight, the Ducks have what seems to be endless combinations of uniforms. From the helmet to the socks and shoes, they could use any combination of green, yellow, white, black, and silver. Their helmets normally have either the “O” logo or the “Feather” logo. With thousands of possible combinations, you would think the Ducks would be #1, nope.
1. Florida State Seminoles
Colors: Garnet and Gold
It starts with gold helmets with an arrow on both sides. Players get tomahawk stickers for making plays. They also have a garnet helmet with a gold arrow. The Seminoles typically wear gold pants with the Seminole logo on the hip. They also have white and garnet versions of the pants. For home games, FSU normally wears garnet jerseys with white lettering. When on the road, the Seminole wear white jerseys with garnet letting. FSU has the coolest uniforms in college football.
