While the Wisconsin football staff has begun to work on the 2027 recruiting class, a top in-state recruit is drawing heavy interest from Michigan.
Isaac Miller, a 2027 three-star edge rusher, is currently considered to be one of the top-ranked recruits in the state of Wisconsin. The Waukesha native attends the notable Catholic Memorial High School and has drawn major collegiate interest thus far, including interest from other Big Ten Conference programs. Miller previously earned scholarships from Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Purdue but now another rival has entered the race.
After a great visit and conversation with @UMichCoachEspo I am blessed to receive an offer from the University of Michigan! #GoBlue @UMichFootball @JTBrown721 @EJHollandOn3 @247Wolverine @CoachBergan @MJ_NFLDraft @travisWSN pic.twitter.com/Aar3NiYzYO

Recently, the Michigan Wolverines extended a scholarship to Miller and have shown heavy interest in the talented edge rusher. The recruit previously expressed a desire to play high-level football and learn from top defensive coaches, which means the Wolverines should be able to get close to Miller.
The 6-foot-5-inch, 250-pound defender was one of the earliest 2027 recruits to see plenty of action from collegiate programs. Now, the recruit is seeing another surge which could last throughout this upcoming season for the talented defender.
Currently the 2027 recruiting class is considered to be quite a lucrative one in the state of Wisconsin and the Badgers cannot afford to have repeats of past classes.
Clearly the Wisconsin football staff cannot land every in-state recruit, but with two four-star recruits (Korz Loken, Cole Reiter) and three high three-star recruits (Richie Flanigan, Miller, Hunter Mallinger) already the 2027 class has the potential to be one of the best Wisconsin classes in recent history.
The Wisconsin football staff has already had both Korz Loken and Cole Reiter on campus multiple times which bodes well for the development of a relationship.
Miller has also been on campus multiple times including camp visits, which has given the staff an up close view at what the recruit offers on the field. The edge rusher was just recently in Madison for a camp and spoke to the staff directly about his potential on the field. Wisconsin sees Miller as an edge rusher primarily but believes the recruit could play multiple positions down the line if needed.
