Roeske was one of the earlier commits in Wisconsin's 2025 class, becoming the third player to give his pledge to UW in 2023. He initially committed during Jack Bicknell's run as offensive line coach, but AJ Blazek was able to retain Roeske's commitment after he took over in January.
Wisconsin was the third program to offer Roeske, behind Indiana and Minnesota. UW was also able to beat out Syracuse, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Illinois for the in-state lineman's commitment.
Roeske is a prototypical Wisconsin offensive lineman who already has the frame of a college lineman. The Wautoma standout has good upper-body strength that allows him to overpower opposing linemen. He also showcases a good ability to move in space and a good center of balance, so he isn't knocked down easily. He'll need some time to develop, but there is some upside here for Roeske to become a key piece of the offensive line.
