After previously shifting focus elsewhere in the 2026 class, the Wisconsin football staff has brought attention back to a three-star safety.

Chase Geter, a 2026 three-star defensive back, was previously on campus for an official visit with the Badgers staff. The defensive back was a fast-rising recruit on the board of the Badgers, but the attention had since shifted towards three-stars Jamyan Theodore and Zachary Taylor.

Taylor has since committed to the Wisconsin football program, adding blazing speed to the 2026 recruiting class for the Badgers. Theodore, on the other hand, has yet to commit to a school but currently remains a top target for the Badgers staff moving forward.

While the Wisconsin football staff could not keep focus on every recruit at once, the staff is once again making a push for Geter in hopes of landing the defensive back. Another key target in the 2026 class, defensive back Nick Reddish, has been crystal balled to Notre Dame and has also kept a close relationship with Virginia Tech. Wisconsin still has a good shot at landing the recruit, but the program could be eyeing Geter in case Reddish actually decides to commit elsewhere.

Geter previously announced a commitment date for June 22nd, and the Wisconsin staff is likely making one last push for the talented defender.
