One legendary WWE personality is in mourning following the holidays.
Former "SmackDown" general manager Teddy Long lost his son, Antione Long, over the weekend. News of the passing was revealed through friends and family members on social media. Mere days prior to his passing, Antione shared an image of himself working out at Planet Fitness.
Details on Antione's passing aren't available at this time. Long isn't the only wrestling icon who lost his son in recent memory. On Oct. 20, 2022, Kevin Nash's son Tristen passed away after suffering a seizure that led to cardiac arrest.
Much like Tristen, Antione wasn't involved in the wrestling industry, although Tristen had been working on Nash's "Kliq This" podcast before his passing. Just one month prior to Tristen's passing, Long revealed that his wife, Tasha, died. Long and Tasha had been married for 40 years.
Long appears as a regular on "Sportskeeda WrestleBinge." On the show, he speaks to longtime wrestling journalist Bill Apter and Mac Davis. Davis caught wind of the news of Long's recent tragedy, and he sent his condolences on X.
Love and prayers to @teddyplayalong and the rest of the family. I always called Antione Long "Little Teddy". The news was unexpected. Please keep Teddy and the family in your prayers. No parent should ever have to lose one of their kids. pic.twitter.com/2tPSO58ABE

There's currently no word on whether or not Long will take some time away from the podcast as he continues to process the loss of his son.
