A 15 year old is in hospital after going head first into the boards following a hit from behind by an opponent. According to reports, 15 year old Timur Bariyev suffered an injury to his spine after he was rammed into the boards from behind by David Akhmadiev in Russia. Bariyev was not able to leave the arena on his own, and Akhmadiev was kicked out of the game. 'We wish him a speedy recovery and return to the ice. HC Neftekhimik will provide the necessary assistance in Timur's treatment.' This was clearly a very reckless hit, and it's unlikely David Akhmadiev will see the ice any time soon.
