Scottie Scheffler had the honor of setting the menu for this year's Masters Champions dinner. Unfortunately, not every single champion was in attendance.
Despite having so much love for the Masters and what it means to the game of golf, Tiger Woods wasn't at Scheffler's dinner on Tuesday. It has been a really rough stretch for the 15-time major champion. Just last month, he underwent surgery on a torn Achilles.
"As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured," Woods announced on March 11. "This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida performed a minimally-invasive Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon."
Charles Coody, who won the Masters in 1971, said Woods hasn't been able to put weight on his foot since suffering his Achilles injury. That's why he didn't attend the Masters Champions dinner.
"We were putting our jackets away, and the guys said that Tiger still can't put weight on his foot," Coody said. "They said his weight tolerance just isn't there to climb up those stairs."
Woods wasn't the only former Masters champion who didn't show up to Tuesday's dinner. Sandy Lyle and Vijay Singh weren't spotted at Augusta National Golf Club either.
Lyle won the Masters in 1988. As for Singh, he captured his first and only green jacket in 2000.
It's unclear why Lyle and Singh couldn't make it to the champions dinner. Obviously, they don't have to explain their actions.
The 2025 Masters will conclude this Sunday, April 13.
