Rory McIlroy is a Masters champion - again.

The Northern Ireland native took home the green jacket for the second straight year at The Masters. McIlroy, who won the 2025 Masters, finished at -12 for the 2026 tournament. He bested the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Justin Rose, Cameron Young and others. McIlroy is emerging as the world's most dominant golfer right now. We'll have to see if he can add another major or two to his resume moving forward this year.

Amanda Balionis was on the call of The Masters for both Amazon Prime and CBS. She spoke out following McIlroy's second straight win at Augusta National on Monday morning, April 13.

The prominent CBS Sports sideline reporter posted a series of photos, including a lengthy caption, from her time at The Masters this year.

Balionis speaks out on Rory's win

The veteran CBS Sports reporter shared a touching post following Rory's win this weekend.

"What a week. Pretty surreal to watch @rorymcilroy battle for 17 years for that first green jacket (and complete the career grand slam) then just 12 months later do it all over again. I‘ll remember this electric moving day for a long time and the storylines we had the privilege of broadcasting from start to finish," she wrote.

"A massive thank you to our ENTIRE crew for the tireless hours, endless passion and for simply being the best in the business. This is a true team effort on the biggest stage and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this team. Until next year Augusta ."

Next up on the major tournament schedule is the PGA Championship, which will be held from May 11–17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
