Amanda Balionis Turns Heads With Vacation Photos During U.S. Open

CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis is usually front and center at major golf tournaments.

She is often seen snagging interviews with some of the biggest golfers on the planet.

However, her Instagram photos on June 14 showed a very different scene.

Balionis is turning heads with the set of vacation photos.

She posted a series of photos to her Instagram story showing her smiling with friends at an outside table with a drink sitting on it. Another photo showed a plate of food, and a third photo showed her with a group of friends in a car.

"As my sunburn sinks in," read the caption on one of Balionis's photos.

One of her photos was a reshare of a picture from the Instagram story of a friend, who posted a slew of vacation photos and a video, some showing Balionis, from Nantucket.

On June 14, the Mirror reported that Balionis "is taking a breather from golf and enjoying some beach time."

According to the Mirror, before the recent photos, she posted an Instagram story that "featured only her sun-kissed legs and a paperback novel, presumably as she lounged in a beach chair facing the ocean."

Balionis's break from golf came after she made a prediction - that Sam Burns was the guy to watch - that may be coming true.

"Sam Burns is playing out of his mind right now. Once again the LSU talent put himself in the mix and if I’m you, I’m snagging him early for any US Open pools you might be in ," she wrote on Instagram after covering the Canadian Open.

She added: "It's time for a week off." Since that post was written on June 9, it appears Balionis may be back in the golf saddle soon.
