Just when you think you've seen it all in sporting events on live television, two announcers at a major golf tournament had a curveball thrown at them on Friday.
The 153rd British Open is taking place at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland this week and Friday was Round 2 of the four-round event.
During the NBC/USA broadcast, the booth was invaded by a bat — yes, a bat — and the wild animal left announcers Dan Hicks and Kevin Kisner ducking and dodging to avoid it.
One of the announcers even went as far as to hide under his sports jacket to avoid getting hit by the bat. Meanwhile, the other announcer was frantically waiving his arms to stave it off.

The only thing that makes the video better is the commentary provided by studio host Mike Tirico, who had a good chuckle at watching his peers fighting for their lives.
The British Open, also called The Open Championship, is one of four golf majors, along with The Masters, the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open.
The four-day event started on Thursday and will culminate with Round 4 on Sunday.
As of this writing, Matt Fitzpatrick (-9) is sitting atop the leaderboard but has 10 others players within five strokes of him.
The bat is not one of them.
